Fourth Time Not The Charm For Red Cedar Speedway

Menomonie WI – The continued high hopes that race fans and drivers could finally participate in some racing action at the Red Cedar Speedway was dashed once again Friday night as overnight rains that continued all day Friday led to the fourth consecutive cancellation of the opening night of the 2008 racing season. The number of times that the opener has been set back is now approaching historic levels and when the season does finally begin, it will be one of the latest openers in track history.

Everyone will try again on Friday, May 9^th to see if the racing season can finally begin. Taco John’s, MDMA Equipment, Dirt Track Specialties, Kadinger Auto Salvage and Auto Value Parts Stores will all sponsor the opening night of racing.

The first race is scheduled to go green at 6:30 p.m. with four classes of WISSOTA sanctioned racing plus the Red Cedar Pure Stocks also competing.
